Truth be told: Social media, from a small business perspective, intimidates me, slightly scares me and at times really exhausts me. I try my best to show up authentically in my content but when it comes to behind-the-scenes stuff, a lot of the time I'm by myself and don't have time to set up a tripod to record myself doing something, I'm often so caught up in the moment and in a state of flow that I forget to capture content, and I also don't have it in me to talk into a camera about what's on my mind. No one wants to see my face up close, let's be honest.

So I concluded that my options were a) force myself against all will to create content because everyone says that's what you should be doing or b) I could try this instead.

This blog was created intentionally to:

1. Invite you into my world in the most authentic way I know how - through words and conversation.

2. Allow myself to let go of needing to appear perfect and competing with "the algorithm", which very often weighs me down.

3. Give myself a place to share and reflect for slightly selfish reasons.
